Exploring Gettysburg
My boyfriend took me to Gettysburg, PA for the weekend to tour the Military Park. We stayed at the historic Fairfield Inn, which has been an inn and tavern for 250 years. Many Confederate generals stayed in the inn before and after the battle and it is supposedly haunted - I have to admit, it added a little something to it! We took part in the Romantic Getaway package, which included dinner for two in the Inn's tavern. It was outstanding! We particularly enjoyed the 1863 Ham & Bean Soup, served to the retreating Confederate Army after the battle.

Though the audio tour we got in the (very impressive!) new information center is only a two to three hour experience, we spent the full day exploring the battlefield. We even went back after dark to see if we could find any ghosts - he saw something, I saw something that might have been something.
